Catherine

Currently finishing her law studies with a specialisation in Maritime Law and Management, Catherine is also a Trainee in Hull and P&I Claims at Cap-Marine. 

​

Being greek and french, multilingual, raised in Greece, she was very early immersed in the maritime world through sailing competitions and scuba diving. 

​

All of these are, with her love of Law, eagerness to plea and meet people from different parts of the globe are the reasons that made her choose to participate to the Maritime Law Arbitration Moot, and lead the team.

Charline 

Currently working at a law firm specialized in maritime law and arbitration law besides her studies in maritime law, Charline naturally wanted to participate in the IMLAM.

 

As a scuba diver and thalassophile since childhood, she always wanted to work in the maritime field and she is determined to continue so. Always curious of new adventures, the moot represent a new opportunity for her to push her limits and learn more about maritime arbitration and herself.

Héloïse

Héloïse got a bachelor law degree in Aix-en-Provence. Then, she did a master's degree in business law before specializing in maritime law.

She currently works at favarel and associates law firm in Marseille specialized in maritime law and international arbitration.

She wants to participe to the IMLAM moot court because she has a strong desire to develop her skills in English law and learn how to plead in English.

Alexandre

Alexandre Huynh, graduated of a Master’s degree in business law, student in Master 2 Law and Management of Maritime Activities of Aix Marseille University. This year, he’s doing a work-study programme with Maurice Ward, a freight forwarder.

 

Due to his various personal experiences with the marine environment, the choice of a Master's degree in maritime activities was an obvious choice. As Maritime law is by nature international, it offers possibilities that are as varied as they are exciting. Arbitration being one of these possibilities, participation in International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot is a unique experience that it is very interesting to live.

 

The teamwork required for this competition and the opportunity to plead in English against teams from different corners of the globe is a unique source of learning that will be very beneficial to all of us.

Nathalie

Nathalie is passionate about international law, thus she chose to specialize in maritime law, which is the pillar of international trade. She is currently working in Paris at a War Risks Insurance Company.

 

She has done many internships in France and abroad in Lebanon in order to gain a professional experience and to compare different judicial systems. She is participating in this program because she realizes that most maritime conflicts are solved through arbitration. It is essential to understand the rules of arbitration in order to be a good jurist.

 

She started participating in similar programs from a young age, she has always liked debating in english and she is looking forward to meeting the other teams that are coming from all over the world. She is sure that it is going to be an enriching and unforgettable experience.

Kousha

Having accomplished his first law degree and a Master in private international law at the renowned University of Pantheon-Assas in Paris, Kousha is currently completing a Master’s degree in Maritime Law at the University of Aix-Marseille which he is alternating with his work at the Department for Maritime Claims of the insurance company AXA XL.

 

In the scope of his Master’s thesis he is researching the consideration of the mandatory rule (loi de police) by the arbitrator in maritime law.

 

His interest for international and maritime law arouse not only by the attendance of the Academy of International Private Law in The Hague, but also by his daily involvement with maritime law issues.
